Simple Way to Make Perfect Stroganoff

Hey everyone, I hope you are having an amazing day today. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, stroganoff. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I’m gonna make it a bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Stroganoff is one of the most popular of current trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions daily. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Stroganoff is something that I’ve loved my whole life.

A rich, creamy stroganoff that's even better reheated the next day. This recipe started from an old cookbook of my mother's. It's evolved over the years and is now a family favorite. This recipe easily doubles or triples for larger groups or freezing.

To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can have stroganoff using 13 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Stroganoff:
  1. Take 2 tbsp oil
  2. Get 3/4 packages pasta (I prefer bows)
  3. Take 1 onion
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp minced garlic
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp tomato paste
  6. Make ready 1 Stroganoff powder mix
  7. Get 400 grams mushrooms ( really up to you)
  8. Take 1 tbsp cornflour
  9. Make ready 500 ml thickened cream
  10. Make ready 1/2 tsp mild paprika
  11. Get 1 stock chicken or beef stock cube
  12. Get 1 kg chicken breast or beef strips
  13. Take 1 sour cream

With all that flavor, you might assume it's a complicated dish, but it's actually quite the opposite. Stir in the flour, salt and paprika. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook the beef, mushrooms and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. This version maintains all the classic flavors of the traditional dish, combining lean beef and onions with a creamy sauce made of a roux, beef broth, and sour cream.

Instructions to make Stroganoff:
  1. Mix thickened cream, cornflour and paprika together. Dice up the onion, put stock cube into a normal sized glass and stir with boiling water until dissolved.. leave all this aside and ready to go.
  2. if using chicken breast, cut into small strips. If using beef buy strips/stir fry. Cook meat, once cooked put aside.
  3. cook onion, garlic and mushrooms together (I add butter to this) Boil water in a pot and put the pasta on.
  4. add tomato paste to the mushrooms and stir through for approx 5 mins
  5. add meat and mix through thoroughly
  6. add stock mix and stir, turn down and leave for 10 mins.
  7. sprinkle Stroganoff powder mix over the top and mix through, Do not use the whole packet, just a little sprinkle over the top.
  8. add thickened cream mix and stir through. careful not to have it on to high. give it ten mins with a little stir every so often
  9. Add the pasta and stir through …… Now Serve. :) add a dab of sour cream and a bit of salt n pepper.

Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook the beef, mushrooms and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. This version maintains all the classic flavors of the traditional dish, combining lean beef and onions with a creamy sauce made of a roux, beef broth, and sour cream. Remove the first batch to a bowl and cook the rest of the meat. Remove and set all the meat aside. Beef stroganoff is the ultimate cold weather dinner.
