Take 1 cup boiled white chickpeas/ white chana
Take 4-5 cloves garlic, peeled
Take 1/2-3/4 cup chickpeas water (the water in which chickpeas were boiled)
Take 2 tbsp lemon juice
Take 1 tsp salt or to taste
Take 4-5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (can add more if you wish)
Prepare 2 tbsp white toasted sesame seeds

Falafel with hummus.
For the falafel, wash and soak the white chickpeas overnight.
Discard the water and wash the chickpeas with fresh water. Now add the chickpeas, green coriander/ dhaniya patta, onion, garlic, sesame seeds, baking soda, cumin powder, coriander powder, cayenne pepper and salt to a grinder jar. Using very little water, grind the ingredients to a chunky paste.
Heat oil in a kadai. Make small balls and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown. Alternatively you can make patties and shallow fry as well.
If your mixture is too watery add some besan/ gram flour to it.
For the hummus: Add all the ingredients to a grinder jar and grind till smooth. - Serve hot falafel with healthy homemade hummus.
