Place lamb, fat side up, on a rack in the prepared roasting pan.

  1. Preheat oven to 300° Fahrenheit. Season the lamb roast with garlic powder, rosemary, salt, and pepper. In a Dutch oven heat the oil and sear the lamb roast. Chop the vegetables. Slice the garlic clove thinly.
  2. Season the vegetables with salt. Remove the roast and add the vegetables. Sauté the vegetables and garlic cloves. Add the roast and beef or mushroom broth. Cover and put into the oven for 2 hours.

Place the lamb on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up, and squeeze the lemon halves over. Pour the wine around the roast into the pan.
