Recipe of Super Quick Homemade Gnocchi

Hello everybody, it is Jim, welcome to our recipe site. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, gnocchi. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit tasty. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

The ingredients needed to make Gnocchi:
  1. Make ready Potato boiled and grated
  2. Prepare buckwheat flour
  3. Prepare rock salt
  4. Make ready pepper powder
  5. Get Desi ghee
  6. Make ready Tomatoes chopped
  7. Take Green chilli chopped
  8. Prepare Ginger chopped
  9. Get Yogurt
  10. Prepare Sugar
  11. Get basil leaves
Instructions to make Gnocchi:
  1. Peel and grate boiled potatoes.
  2. Take the potatoes in a bowl. Start adding the flour 1 tbsp at a time and keep mixing. The amount of flour needed depends on the moisture present in the potato. When the potato mixture stops sticking to your hand, don't add any more flour.
  3. Add salt and pepper and mix well.
  4. Apply some ghee on your hand and on the dough so that it is not sticky.
  5. Roll the dough like a rope and cut equal sized pieces out of it.
  6. Boil 3 cups of water in a pan. Add salt to it
  7. When the water starts boiling, add gnocchi into it. When they start floating on top, take them out and allow them to cool.
  8. Save the water to be used in making sauce.
  9. Chop tomatoes, green chilli and ginger. Keep aside.
  10. Take 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and heat it.
  11. Add gnocchi in it and cook them till slightly browned on all sides.
  12. Take them in a serving plate.
  13. In the same pan, add 1 more tbsp of ghee. Add cumin and let them splutter. Add chopped tomatoes, ginger and chilli. Cook them till tomatoes become mushy.
  14. Transfer this mixture to a grinder jar. Add yoghurt, basil leaves. Grind them to a smooth paste. Pass it through a strainer to get a smooth sauce.
  15. Again take it in the pan. Add sugar and cook for couple of minutes.
  16. Add saved gnocchi water to adjust the consistency of the sauce. - Pour this sauce over gnocchi.
